Tina e Gianni si conoscono da poco e decidono di trascorrere una serata insieme. Dopo essersi ritrovati in un night-club con alcuni amici, tra i due avviene un episodio ambiguo: Gianni tenta di avere un rapporto con Tina, ma la situazione degenera e la ragazza fugge sconvolta.

Da qui nasce il cuore del film: la stessa notte viene raccontata più volte, ognuna da un personaggio diverso, e ogni versione contraddice la precedente.
